Position Title: Bilingual Early Childhood Music Teache
Location: Round Rock (2120 N Mays St #290, Round Rock, TX 78664)
Employment Type: Part-time, with flexible schedule
Salary Range: Pay starts at $50 per class and is variable depending on program and location.
Position Overview
At Armstrong Community Music School we teach, explore, perform, and celebrate music. We support and engage our entire community with nurturing and transformational musical experiences. Help us expand our impact to Round Rock as we begin offering music classes at Penfold Theatre Company (2120 N Mays St #290, Round Rock, TX 78664). Armstrong Community Music School is seeking charismatic, playful individuals to teach Spanish language early childhood music and movement classes. If you have a desire to inspire a love of music in young children, ages 0-6, and their families, this is the position for you. Comprehensive training, outstanding curriculum and teaching support will be provided.
Responsibilities
Provide Canta y Baila Conmigo classes for Armstrong Community Music School at Penfold Theatre Company in Round Rock
Provide Spanish language early childhood music classes and one-time events at community locations
Lesson Planning
Classroom preparation
Materials cleaning
Desired Experience and Competencies:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Training or experience in the Music, Education, or Child Development fields
Must be able to start a song from a single pitch and stay in the key of the song without instrumental accompaniment
Must be able to keep a beat in your body (clap, march, tap, etc.) while singing
Skill in classroom management
Ability to play an instrument is preferred but not required
